Autodesk Inventor 2025 FEA & dynamic simulation basics
A finite element stress analysis can help identify the most suitable design alternatives for a component or assembly. It enables you to verify at an early stage of the design process that a structure will perform reliably under the expected loads without failing or deforming. Note: The analysis environment is intended for use with isotropic materials such as metals, plastics, and glass.
Two types of simulations are used for stress analysis:
-
Static analysis evaluates load-carrying conditions.
-
Modal analysis evaluates the natural frequency modes, including rigid-body motions
“The natural frequency modes, including rigid-body motions, are evaluated.”
